Greetings!
Teaching English and journalism for 25 years means I know how to organise writing projects of all sizes. I will help you define the themes of your project and creatively communicate them to your audience. I’m a stickler for grammar too - so you don’t have to be!
My Story
Believe it not, I loved reading and writing essays in university! So, I became a high school English teacher and I loved discussing the ideas in great literature and teaching my students how to write. Over 25 years, I taught thousands of students to write with clarity and style. I was also a yearbook advisor for 11 years; yearbook journalism involves capturing all the fun events of the year (in pictures and write-ups) and marketing the school in a permanent record.
I retired from the classroom and began copywriting because it is a way that I can help people who don’t enjoy writing to confidently convey their message. After getting to know your goals, I will write clearly and persuasively for your business so that your marketing captures the interest of your audience and compels them to take action.
What's your favourite book?
I can't choose one! I like the classics by Jane Austen and the Brontes but also more modern dystopian stories like The Hunger Games and Fahrenheit 451.
How do you spend your spare time?
In my spare time you can find me working in the garden, chatting with my chickens, and knitting for my grandchildren.
What's one item still on your bucket list?
I’d like to learn to speak Finnish, travel to Finland, and meet some distant relatives.
“Clear thinking becomes clear writing;
one can't exist without the other.”
